Brake Disc Information |
||
Welcome |
All Brake Discs are manufactured in England from castings conforming to European standard GH190 The chemical composition of the castings provide a high co-efficient of braking whilst promoting excellent heat transfer and long life. United Brake manufactures all of its Brake Discs on the most modern CNC (computer numerically controlled) machinery available in the world, including Okuma Howa from Japan. This enables Brake Discs to be machined with total precision. Through a special manufacturing process, which enables both braking surfaces to be machined simultaneously, the Brake Disc is made perfectly concentric. Each Brake Disc is edge-coded with a fully traceable batch code, together with the minimum thickness of the Brake Disc, below which the pair of Brake Discs must be immediately replaced. The Brake Discs are balanced to a maximum tolerance of 1.0 Kg-mm. Surface finish is maintained within the range specified by Reg. 90 approved Brake Pad friction materials. |
